Abstract

Terraced fields are agricultural farming methods on sloping land in most countries in the world; they not only create agricultural products for people in sloping lands but also have values of culture, landscape and tourism. The Pa terraced fields in Y Ty commune have been recognized as a National Monument by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. This is not only a place of agricultural cultivation of indigenous people but also a special material cultural heritage, helping to build a brand for sightseeing and discovery tourism of Y Ty commune. In order to assess the current status of the environmental value of the heritage of the Tha Pa terraced fields, to orient the plan to use, develop and protect the heritage of The Pa terraced fields. In this article, the author collects secondary data and surveys 108 questionnaires in 3 villages (Lao Chai village, Choan Then village, Sin Chai village), each village randomly selects 36 households. The results have assessed the current status of the value of land resources in the heritage of The Pa terraced fields. At the same time, the environmental value of the terraced fields were assessed through two values: tangible values (livelihood value, investment value) and intangible values (heritage value, tourism value, eco-cultural value, experience value); A number of factors affecting the heritage environment of terraced fields were identified; then solutions were proposed to use the heritage of terraced fields effectively sustainable and protect its environment.
