CURRENT SITUATION OF THE MANAGEMENT OF TRAINING TEACHING CAPACITY FOR PEDAGOGICAL STUDENTS AT HO CHI MINH CITY UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION

Abstract

To become teachers in the future, pedagogical students must be trained in effective teaching capacity with specific and mandatory criteria in designing output standards of university of education. The implementation process to be effective needs to be strictly and scientifically managed from planning to inspection and evaluation. This research was conducted with the aim of evaluating the management of teaching capacity building activities for pedagogical students at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education based on four functions of management. Questionnaire with 5-level Likert scale was used to investigate two groups of subjects: 36 managers and 107 lecturers/experts. The results show that the content evaluation managers perform the four management functions at the level of complete agreement, higher than that of the lecturers/experts who only assess the level of agreement, statistically significant. The research results are the basis for administrators to make adjustments in the management process, and provide measures to improve the quality of teaching capacity training activities for pedagogical students.
