FACTORS AFFECTING STUDENTS' WELL-BEING – THE CASE STUDY AT DA NANG ARCHITECTURAL UNIVERSITY
Abstract
The study aimed to determine the factors affecting well-being of students at Da Nang Architecture University. The PERMA model was used to measure students' well-being. Data from a survey of 512 students was processed using SPSS 20 and AMOS 20. Research results show that 5 components of well-being according to the PERMA model are suitable for students at Da Nang Architecture University. In addition, research shows that students' well-being is influenced by many factors and each factor has a certain role for each component of well-being. The need for communication and self-affirmation is the biggest factor affecting students' perception of positive emotions; teaching activity is the biggest factor affecting students' perception of engagement and accomplishment; student support is the biggest factor affecting students' perception of relationships; extracurricular activities the biggest factor affecting students' perception of meaning. Based on the research results, the authors give some suggestions to improve well-being of students at Da Nang Architecture University.
