AGRICULTURAL COOPERATIVE PRODUCE IN THE VALUE CHAIN TO CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION

Abstract

Vietnam is one of the countries which is highly effected by climate change, especially for agricultural sector. Agricultural cooperative produce in the value chain created strong linkage, scale development, quality, sustainable economic development, inclusive growth and sharing economy to adapt to impact of the climate change is growing. The purpose of this study is evaluate and propose the development solutions for agricultural cooperative in the main value chain and the adaptation of the economic developmet to climate change. The research methodology are collecting documents, analysis statistic, field visit, social reseach analysis by questionnaires in 130 cooperatives was effected by climate change in the North, Central and the Sourth. The results of analysis research are bases on the international experiences from Australia, Japan, India... and some typical cooperative models in Vietnam to give out the solutions to develop the agricultural cooperative models in the value chain to climate change adaptation. The solutions on improving agricultural production, the linkage to improve the production and market access, strengthening and developing the linkage, value added for the products in the value chain and create the advantage environment.
