RESEARCH ON THE EFFECTS OF PLANTING DENSITY ON THE GROWTH, YIELD, AND QUALITY OF MESONA CHINENSIS BENTH IN THACH AN DISTRICT, CAO BANG PROVINCE
Abstract
There are not many studies on technical measures in growing Mesona chinensis Benth for high yield and quality, so the research team conducted research on the effect of planting density on growth, yield, and quality of Mesona chinensis Benth in Cao Bang in 2019. The experiment includes 6 formulas: F1: 166,667 plants / ha (40 x 15 cm), F2: 125,000 plants / ha (40 x 20 cm), F3: 100,000 plants/ha (40 x 25 cm), F4: 133,333 plants/ha (50 x 15 cm), F5: 100,000 plants/ha (50 x 20 cm) (control), F6: 80,000 plants/ha (50 x 25 cm). Research results determined that using the third planting density had the highest yield and highest economic efficiency. Specifically, the third planting density has a viscosity of 4.7 cP; pectin content is 0.42 mg/ml; leaf stem yield reaches 72.33 tons/ha.
