Abstract

Cotton is one of the most important fiber plants in many countries over the world; it is a source of fiber for the textile industry and a source of oil production and animal feed from seed. Cotton leafroll dwarf virus (CLRDV) causes great damage to the cotton industry. CLRDV belongs to the family Luteoviridae, genus Polerovirus. In order to prevent CLRDV, the transfer of genes carrying RNAi constructs to create natural antiviral properties for plants is a proven effective measure. In this study, we have successfully designed vector carrying RNAi structure (pGWCLRDV-CPi) contained CP gene fragment from CLRDV. CPi is conservative sequences of CP gene CLRDV have size is 351bp. Strains A.tumefaciens carrying structure pGWCLRDV-Cpi and used as valuable raw materials in creating the transgenic cotton line antiretroviral CLRDV.
