ASSESSMENT METHODS OF STUDENTS’ LEARNING OUTCOMES IN HIGHER EDUCATION
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to propose three methods of assessing students’ learning outcomes in higher education: (1) using GSP chart and ROC method to assess students’ learning outcomes based on the results of multiple-choice tests; (2) using statistical test methods to assess students’ learning outcomes based on the results of progress achievement tests and a final achievement test; (3) using T-Score and grey relational analysis to assess students’ learning outcomes based on the learning outcomes of students in an academic year. A MATLAB toolbox was built based on three methods of assessing students’ learning outcomes in this study. The results of this study contribute significantly to improve not only the assessment of students’ learning outcomes in higher education but also the assessment of teaching and learning process in order to meet the demands of radical and comprehensive innovation in education and training.
