THE PROPORTION OF ALL TYPES OF CARDIOVASCULAR COMORBIDITIES IN COPD PATIENTS IN OUTPATIENT CLINICS IN BAC NINH GENERAL HOSPITAL

Abstract

Research objective is determining the rate of cardiovascular diseases in COPD patients at outpatient clinics in Bac Ninh general hospital from 01/2018 to 12/2018. The method used is descriptive cross-sectional study. Sample size is 138. Samples are selected conveniently. COPD is diagnosed according to GOLD 2017. Heart failure and systemic hypertension are diagnosed on Framingham and JNC VII criteria. SPSS 18.0 is used for the analysis of data.The major cardiovascular diseases in COPD patients were degenerative valvular heart disease (65.2%), systemic hypertension (62.3%), cardiac arrhythmia (63.0%), pulmonary hypertension (33.3%), heart failure (18.8%), coronary artery disease (7.2%). The authors concluded that cardiovascular diseases were very common in COPD patients. It is nesessary to screen the cardiovascular diseases in COPD patients for the better result of treatment.
