Land acquisition for Ho Chi Minh City's metro line No.2

Abstract

Land acquisition, compensation, and site clearance are the dilemmas of investment projects to build public transport systems in the current urban development and national development planning. The study will explore the process of house clearance compensation for the construction of Metro Line 2 (Ben Thanh - Tham Luong) and find out the factors affecting the efficiency of land acquisition for this project. From previous studies and consultations with experts who are working related to the ground clearance process of metro line 2, the author establishes the factors that greatly affect the acquisition process. land. Then use the linear regression method to analyze data from survey of households affected by the metro line and officials involved in compensation and site clearance in metro line 2.

The analysis results of factors affecting the efficiency of land acquisition are: financial; implementing agencies; laws and policies; information about the land plot and finally the land user. Thereby, it is necessary to overcome and minimize the factors affecting the efficiency of land acquisition to increase the efficiency of the project.
