Abstract

Sea level rise leading to saline intrusion directly threatens the lives of people in the Mekong Delta, in which reinforced concrete constructions are directly affected and seriously affect the construction durability. In this paper, the authors survey the current corrosion of reinforced concrete structures in collective housing projects in 5 provinces in the Mekong Delta. Through the survey results, the current status of saline intrusion in each locality has been assessed and the fulfillment of requirements in the design and construction of the building in Marine environment.
