Abstract

To make high-strength fine sand concrete, the problem to be solved is guaranteeing good workability and low ratio water/cement of the mixture, but the cement rate is suitable and using little water. Using a mixture of mineral additives (blast furnace slag + rice husk ash) in high-strength fine sand concrete can replace a significant amount of cement with a mixture of mineral additives (blast furnace slag + rice husk ash) without negatively affecting the properties of concrete and concrete mixes, this makes it possible to use a large amount of binder in high-strength fine sand concrete while ensuring low cement usage. The paper presents the initial research results on the use a mixture of mineral additives (blast furnace slag + rice husk ash in fine sand concrete with the ratio water/binder from 0.25 to 0.37. The influence of the two above-mentioned additives on the workability of the concrete mixture and the strength of the concrete, then choosing a suitable mixing ratio between blast furnace slag and rice husk ash. Thereby, it shows that the combination between blast furnace slag and rice husk ash has significantly improved the quality of fine sand concrete, which contributes significantly to the development and application of these two additives fabrication of high-strength fine sand concrete.
