Analysis of the load bearing capacity of bored pile by theory and PDA experiment in Can Tho area

Abstract

This paper presents the methods to calculate load bearing capacity of bored piles by the physico-mechanical characteristics, shear strength parameters, SPT values of soil, and a finite element method by Plaxis 3D Foundation software. Also, there is PDA test to calculate the load bearing capacity of bored piles in situ. Based on the determination of load bearing capacity of bored piles of many projects in Can Tho area, the appropriate method of determining the load bearing capacity of bored piles in this area can be proposed.
