Formwork for the construction of bridge parapets by cantilever method
Abstract
The cantilever is a construction technology of prestressed reinforced concrete span structures by the concrete casting of consecutive beam blocks from two sides. The cantilevered concrete blocks are poured in place on movable scaffolding called casters. The railing is an important structure in the bridge system, playing a protective role for people and vehicles when participating in traffic. In the coming years, the demand for new bridge construction will increase in Vietnam. As a result, the number of railings to be made will also increase. During the planning phase, the nature of the construction site must be properly assessed and the appropriate formwork system selected, including suspension work, to minimize risks and costs as well as avoid any delays. in construction. The article introduces the formwork system for the construction of bridge railings constructed by the cantilever method.
