Nowadays English plays a significant role in the development of the country. However, learning English is not something everyone can achieve as they wish, especially learning good skills. Listening skill 1 is one of the most difficult skills that new students encounter. In addition to students’ efforts, changing English teaching methods to be more learner-centered is more necessary than ever. Teaching English listening combined with innovative methods has the effect of promoting students’ learning motivation, helping students be confident, active, improve self-study and be more effective in learning listening. This article aims to research innovative methods at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade. On the other hand, it also offers some useful suggestions for applying innovative methods in teaching listening 1.
