Provisions on professional stock investor in the 2019 Law on Securities: Limitations and recommendations

Abstract

Unlike the 2006 Law on Securities (amended and supplemented in 2010), the 2019 Law on Securities has broadened the definition of subjects can be identified as professional stock investors. However, in reality, there are still many limitations and shortcomings, which have impacted negatively on the activities and the safety of the stock market. Therefore, the article studies the provisions on professional stock investors in the 2019 Law on Securities and proposes some solutions for improving the law and strictly managing the activities of these investors.
