Some legal issues of consumers protection in Vietnam’s international commitments on cross-border e-commerce

Abstract
Cross-border e-commerce is growing, meeting the needs of business entities as well as consumers. Recognizing the role of cross-border e-commerce, many countries and territories have negotiated and built common legal frameworks to facilitate these activities. The article focuses on legal issues relating to protection of consumers in cross-border e-commerce such as consumer’s rights protection, personal information protection, and the cross-border personal information transfer, raised in some Vietnam’s international commitments, while reviewing the provisions of Vietnamese law on such issues.
