Households business in Vietnam - Some new provisions and trends of converting into types of enterprise

Abstract

In Vietnam, household business is a small-scale business entity, co-existing with other types of enterprises such as sole proprietorship, partnerships, limited liability companies, joint stock companies; and it is an integral part of the economy. After the proposal to include provisions on household business in the Draft Law on Enterprises (2020) was not approved by the National Assembly, solutions to innovate and improve the legal basis for the household business model in Vietnam still remain as a matter of further study. This Article comprehensively analyzes theoretical, practical issues and innovation trends of the law on household business in Vietnam today.
