Abstract
Since the Land and Environment Court of New South Wales (Australia) was established in 1980, the model of specialist environmental court has been extensively spread in numerous countries including the United State of America, New Zealand, India, China and Thailand as its operation is highly valued. This paper examines the Land and Environment Court of New South Wales (Australia) as the first specialist environmental superior court in the world and offers some suggestions for Viet Nam in the course of seeking a proper model of environmental court.
