Improving mechanism for Constitution’s protection to meet the demand of building and refining a Socialist Rule-of-Law State of Vietnam by 2030, with an orientation to 2045

Abstract

Constitution’s protection is an objective need and a topical issue to which every country must pay attention. In Vietnam, the issue of building and refining a mechanism for Constitution’s protection has been raised in the Documents of the X, XI, XII and XIII Congresses of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and the 2013 Constitution provides new regulations to protect the Constitution. Accordingly, a mechanism for Constitution’s protection has gradually been formed and developed. Although there have been some achievements, the current mechanism still has some limitations and inadequacies. Therefore, it’s crucial to continue to comprehensively research to propose solutions to build and improve the mechanism for Constitution’s protection in Vietnam. This research analyzes the theory and practice of this mechanism in Vietnam; proposes some recommendations on solutions for building and improving the mechanism for Constitution’s protection in Vietnam to meet the demand of building and refining the Socialist Rule-of-Law State of Vietnam in the period of 2021-2030 with an orientation to 2045.
