Abstract

Higher education is facing a global impact in four groups of factors: social impact, strategic action, talent and human resources; and technology impact. This process has a significant impact on the innovation of training methods, including legal education in Vietnam regarding the research and widespread application of teaching models based on technological foundations, solutions, and tools that follows the trend of positivization, personalization, multi-platform, multi-modality, etc... Blended learning is a fairly recent teaching model in higher education in Vietnam in general and our legal training in particular. As its implementation has a considerable influence on the entire education system, continued research in both theory and practice is required. This article seeks to prove that in smart education, blended learning is not only a new approach but also a completely novel teaching model. It fundamentally changes the theoretical views on teaching thus far, leading to a change in mindset and the form of all training activities, which can be applied to legal education in Vietnam.
