The United Nations and the prevention and fight against international criminals and terrorists – Achievements and challenges

Abstract

After 75 years of existence and development, the United Nations has affirmed its irreplaceable role in the cooperation for the development of a peaceful and wealthy world. The article analyzes the role of the United Nations through its activities in compatible with the role and jurisdiction recognized in the United Nations Charter in the field of preventing and fighting international criminals and terroritsts. Thereby, the article assesses the outstanding achievements of the United Nations in this field as well as the challenges that the organization has to deal with.
