Legal framework on cooperation about cybercrime prevention in ASEAN

Abstract

Cybercrime is a form of transnational crime that requires cooperation from many aspects, especially in legal and specific security technology. The process of international cooperation to prevent this type of crime not only takes place in an -global scope, but it also needs to equip itself with appropriate mechanisms. The paper focuses on clarifying the legal framework governing the prevention of cybercrime within ASEAN, identify several limitations and propose solutions to promote and effectively establish a cooperation mechanism in preventing and combating cybercrime.
