Restrictions on parents’ rights towards their minor children and the practical application

Abstract

Restrictions on parents’ rights towards their minor children are the measures against parents who have seriously violated their obligations to their children in order to protect the legitimate rights and interests of the minor children. However, in practice, this regulation is hardly applied due to the limitations of people’s awareness, the lack of responsibility of competent agencies and organizations in protecting juveniles. This paper researches the provisions of the 2014 Law on marriage and family regarding restrictions on parents’ rights towards their minor children, simultaneously, analyzes the practical application in recent years. Accordingly, this paper proposes a number of resolutions in order to enhance the efficiency of enforcement of the law on restricting parents’ rights towards their minor children.
