Education in the era of the fourth Industrial revolution
Abstract
The fourth industrial revolution has created many changes in the socio-economic and scientific-technological life with the introduction of a range of new tangible and intangible properties such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, big data, nanobiotechnology products, etc. The fourth industrial revolution has impacted on most areas of social life ranging from production, commerce, health to socio-cultural areas and, as a matter of course, education including general education, undergraduate and post-graduate education, and vocational fostering and training. In this context, education is characterised as education 4.0. The paper examines some issues of the fourth industrial revolution on education and training in general to establish a theoretical foundation for researching the ability to apply achievements of this revolution to education at present.
