Abstract

The paper analyses legal aspects regarding the delimitation of the continental self beyond 200 nautical miles prior to the recommendation of the UN Commission on the Limits of the Continental Self under 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, the practice of some countries and some related cases before the international tribunals. It offers comments and recommendations on the issues relating to the delimitation of the continental self beyond 200 nautical miles between Vietnam and Malaysia.
