Developing Jurisprudence Journal as a scientific journal of international standards - Theory, current situation and solutions

Abstract

Enhancing the quality and developing scientific journals in accordance with international standards is an indispensable trend of research activities and publishing scientific journals of universities and research institutes of the countries in the world in which Vietnam is not excluded. On the basis of clarifying the concepts of international scientific journal, international scientific journal standard and developing a scientific journal in accordance with international standards and analysing the current situation of developing Jurisprudence Journal in accordance with international standards and  the level of meeting international standards of the Journal, the paper proposes 5 main solutions to develop Jurisprudence  Journal of Hanoi Law University pursuant to international standards, including: (1) Developing the Editorial Boards and its collaborators in accordance with international standards; (2) Developing a policy for reviewing and editing journal articles in accordance with international standards; (3) Developing requirements in terms of contents and form for journal articles in accordance with international standards; (4) Developing regulations on the Journal information, the website of the Journal and online activities of the Journal in accordance with international standards; and (5) Developing a regime for periodic publication of the Journal in accordance with international standard.
