Directions for improving the law on property registration in Vietnam
Abstract
Property registration is an important institution that contributes to the transparency of the legal status of the property. The current practice requires a unified system of the law on property registration, which coversthe contents of property registration, types of property subject to registration, the subjects who are required to register property and legal consequences resulted from not registering property, procedures for temporary registration when transferring property ownership rights through transactions, the relation between property registration and granting property registration certificates, competent bodies for property registration and etc. The paper analyses the above-mentioned aspects of the law on property registration in search of a consistent viewpoint during the course of improving the current law onproperty registration of Vietnam.
