Abstract
Examining the provisions of the 1980 Vienna Convention on contracts for the international sale of goods and the law of Vietnam on entering into contracts for the international sale of goods including those on offers and acceptance of the offers to enter into the contracts and those on time when the contracts are entered into and effectiveness of the contracts, the paper points out the inadequacies of the current law of Vietnam and offers directions to overcome those inadequacies.
