Rights to property under the 2015 Civil Code and improving the law on property registration

Abstract

The paper analyses the origin of rights to property under the Romance law and the Civil Codes of France and Japan and the inheritance and improvement of the rights to property under the 2015 Civil Code of Vietnam. It differentiates between rights to property and  property rights. It also offers recommendations to improve the law on property registration like registration of ownership rights to virtual property in online games or registration of other rights to property.
