ASSESSMENT OF THE CURRENT SITUATION AND PROPOSALS FOR ENHANCING TOY DESIGN EFFECTIVENESS FOR PRESCHOOL CHILDREN BY EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION STUDENTSABSTRACT
Abstract
The
most
effective
learning
for
preschool
children
(PC)
is
through
play.
Therefore,
preschool
teachers
need
toy
design
(TD)
skills
to
encourage
PC
to
actively
participate
in
activities.
Toys
(T)
are
not
only
for
educational
purposes
but
also
help
develop
essential
skills꞉
T
contribute
to
children's
physical
development,
perception,
and
construction
skills
while
stimulating
logical
thinking,
imagination,
and
problem‑solving
abilities.
Additionally,
through
play,
PC
learn
to
communicate,
cooperate,
and
express
emotions,
contributing
to
their
social
skills
development.
Research
findings
indicate
that
students
(S)
majoring
in
Early
Childhood
Education
(ECE)
still
face
difficulties
in
TD,
especially
in
selecting
materials
that
are
safe
and
suitable
for
practical
application.
To
overcome
these
challenges,
it
is
necessary
to
strengthen
practical
training,
guide
students
in
choosing
appropriate
materials,
and
organize
creative
experimental
activities.
This
paper
analyzes
the
TD
situation
of
