Tourisim Activities in Viet Hai Commune, Cat Hai District, Hai Phong City: Current Situation and Challenges

Abstract

Viet Hai commune is comparable to an “island within an island” of Cat Hai
district, Hai Phong city. Tourism here has appeared for a long time thanks to its beautiful
natural landscape and unique cultural capital, but has only really grown in the last 5-6 years.
However, tourism in Viet Hai still has many limitations such as small scale, underdeveloped
infrastructure, lack of high-quality human resources, low guest rate. To develop sustainable
tourism, Viet Hai needs to complete planning, diversify tourism products, focus on training
human resources, improve service quality, and increase promotion. Although there are many
challenges, with the available potential and efforts of the community, Viet Hai tourism will
have new steps forward, contributing to increasing people's income.
