Agricultural land use of Thai people in Moc Chau district, Son La province

Abstract
Moc Chau Plateau has an agricultural land area of 86,258.08 ha, accounting for 80.49% of the district's natural land area. Among the ethnic communities in Moc Chau, the Thai people make up the largest number with 33.2% of the total population of the district. During the process of socio-economic development, the Thai people as well as other ethnic groups in Moc Chau have taken advantage of the advantages of topography and soil types to select suitable farming forms, and to improve their crop yield. However, that agricultural land use process has been affecting by the factors: local socio-economic development policies, climate change, natural disasters, epidemics, degraded soil, low infrastructural conditions, etc
