Research on new religious phenomena of ethnic minorities in Vietnam in relations to research on new religious phenomena in the world
Abstract
The article initially provides an overview of the research situation on new religious phenomena of ethnic minorities in our country, concerning the international research on new religious phenomena of recently. The content of the article consists of two sections: An overview of research on new religious phenomena in Vietnam's ethnic minorities through two specific cases: a study on Duong Van Minh organization in the northern mountainous region and Ha Mon in the Central Highlands; Pointing out the similarities and differences between domestic and international research on new religious phenomena in ethnic minorities. A comparison is made on concepts and theories, main research topics, the future of this research path. Thereby, the author identifies the remaining problems and future directions of this research field in Vietnam.
