Some features of the Chinese in Ho Chi Minh city today

Abstract

Chinese people live mainly in urban areas, amongst which Ho Chi Minh City the place where inhabits the most Chinese people in the country. The social organization of the Chinese people is both traditional and reforming to suit new living conditions. In Ho Chi Minh City, the Chinese social organization emerged with three main models: compatriot organization, kinship association organization, trade association organization and patronage. Based on the analysis of these social organization models, the article proposes solutions to preserve the traditional values of ethnic groups, continue to stabilize and build the social organization model of the Chinese people in the city. Ho Chi Minh is the cause of national construction and development.
