Abstract

Ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands in general and E-de people, in particular, are the creators of many cultural values, typical and famous. Under the impact of Doi Moi and globalization, the culture of the Central Highlands is gradually faded which leads to the task of preserving and promoting the culture of the Central Highlands. This task has been paid attention by the State and local authorities, but it has many challenges. Through the case study of the E-de people in Ako Dhong village, Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak province, the article outlines the efforts, achievements, and challenges posed by the village community in conservation their ethnic culture, This effort affirms that it is necessary to change the approach of policies and schemes to preserve the traditional cultures in the Central Highlands in the direction of linking with the village space and taking the village space as the core of social spaces.
