Exploiting the Cultural Values of the Tay People for Tourism Development in Khuoi Ky Ancient Stone Village, Dam Thuy Commune, Trung Khanh District, Cao Bang Province

Abstract

Khuoi Ky ancient stone village, located in Dam Thuy commune, Cao Bang province, possesses unique ancient stone house architecture and traditional cultural values of the Tay ethnic group. As an attractive cultural resource, the Tay community in Khuoi Ky has developed a homestay tourism model. However, some traditional cultural values of the Tay ethnic group in the area remain untapped for community-based tourism. Based on existing literature and survey data, this article aims to clarify the traditional cultural values of the Tay people, highlight specific cultural values, and propose solutions to promote the exploitation of cultural assets that have the potential to become community tourism products in Khuoi Ky
