FORMS OF LABOR REPRESENTATION IN THE LABOR CODE IN 2019 TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE COMPREHENSIVE AND PROGRESSIVE AGREEMENT FOR TRANS-PACIFIC PARTNERSHIP

Abstract

Forms of labor representation play a key role in labor relations. Protecting the interests of employees through forms of employee representation is always an issue of concern for employees and employers. Vietnamese legislation does regulate labor representation forms to create legal corridors for the protection of the rights of workers when they engaged in labor relations. However, in the context of globalization and Vietnam's participation in the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), the need to regulate the representation of workers in a new direction is necessary. The article analyzes the provisions of the Labor Code 2019 on forms of labor representation that meet the requirements of the CPTPP and solutions to improve the law to meet the set forth requirements in the current period.
