Abstract
The southwestern sea area of Vietnam is the
residence of ethnic groups such as the Vietnamese, the Cham,
the Chinese, and the Khmer. Therefore, folk religions are a
mixture of ethnic cultures. Under the influence of the folk
religions in Central Vietnam, those cultural elements have
been indigenized when they have been introduced into the
Southwest part of Vietnam. With the historical conditions and
ecological culture, the folk religions of the inhabitants in the
southwestern sea area of Vietnam have created a diversity
with many different objects of worship.
