Từ kép Hán Việt-Việt đồng nghĩa là một kiểu từ rất đặc biệt trong tiếng Việt. Chúng là sự kết hợp của hai từ có nguồn gốc khác nhau, một là từ gốc Hán (đọc theo âm Hán-Việt) và một là từ (gốc) Việt nhưng về nghĩa chúng lại giống nhau hoặc gần giống nhau.

Qua việc khảo sát và dẫn chứng từ nhiều nguồn tài liệu ở các thời kỳ khác nhau, tác giả bài viết cho rằng, từ kép Hán Việt-Việt đồng nghĩa xuất hiện vào khoảng thế kỷ XIII, gắn liền với quá trình ổn định âm đọc Hán-Việt của chữ Hán cùng sự ra đời và phát triển của chữ Nôm. Đặc biệt, loại từ kép này xuất hiện khá nhiều sau sự ra đời của các loại sách học chữ Hán và chữ Nôm diễn âm bằng văn vần vào nửa cuối thế kỷ XVIII trở đi. Điều này chứng tỏ từ kép Hán Việt-Việt đồng nghĩa được người Việt tạo ra trước hết để phục vụ cho việc học chữ Hán và chữ Nôm dễ dàng và thuận tiện hơn. Loại từ kép này cũng phù hợp với quy luật phát triển ngữ âm của tiếng Việt, làm tăng thêm sức diễn đạt, thuận tai, dễ nhớ... nên đã được phát triển ngày càng phong phú, tạo nên một nét riêng của ngôn ngữ dân tộc Việt Nam.

ABSTRACT

Synonymous Sino Vietnamese-Vietnamese compound words are very special type of words in Vietnamese language. They are the combination of two words of quite different origin, one originates from Chinese language (Sino Vietnamese pronunciation), the other originates from Vietnamese language, but they mean the same or very similar.

Through survey and evidence from various sources of documents in different periods, the author suggests that synonymous Sino Vietnamese-Vietnamese compound words  dual Sino Vietnamese-Vietnamese synonymous appeared by the thirteenth century, associated with the stable process of Sino-Vietnamese pronunciation of Chinese language and the birth and development of the “Nôm” language. Especially, this type of compound word appeared pretty much after the birth of the textbooks of Chinese and “Nôm” language written in verse from the second half of the eighteenth century onwards. This proves that synonymous Sino Vietnamese-Vietnamese compound words were invented by Vietnamese people to make it easier and more convenient for learning Chinese language and “Nôm” language. This type of compound words is also in accordance with the rule of the development of Vietnamese phonetics, increases the ways of expressing feelings; in addition, it is palatable and easy to remember... so it has been developped increasingly, creating a characteristic of Vietnamese language.
