Quyển Từ điển Truyện Kiều của học giả Đào Duy Anh xuất bản lần đầu tiên vào năm 1974 tại Hà Nội và cho đến nay đã được tái bản nhiều lần. Đây là một công trình biên soạn rất công phu, thật đáng trân trọng nhưng rất tiếc đã không tránh khỏi một số thiếu sót và sai lầm cần phải tu chỉnh lại.

Bài viết đưa ra những dẫn chứng qua 5 phần: tần số của các từ ghi thiếu chính xác, những từ ghi thiếu, những từ ghi bất nhất giữa văn bản và phần chú giải, những chữ phiên âm không đúng với bản Nôm và những chữ chú thích sai.

ABSTRACT 

 The book Từ điển Truyện Kiều by Đào Duy Anh was the first published in 1974 and so far has been republished many times. This is an admirable work compiled with great care. It inevitably has its shortcomings and mistakes, however, which need rectified or supplemented.

The author will put forward his proofs for the mistakes and shortcomings regarding 5 categories: Inexact notes of the occurrence frequency of items, missing of certain necessary items, unsimilarity between the items in the text and their quotations in the explanation notes, the wrong transcriptions in comparison to the “Nôm” text, and finally, the wrong notes.
