Bài viết phân tích khái quát sức chống cự Trung Hoa của dân tộc Việt Nam thể hiện qua 4 lần Trung Hoa xâm lược Việt Nam vào các năm 981, 1285-1288, 1407-1427 và 1788-1789. Thực tế lịch sử chứng minh, kể từ khi Việt Nam độc lập, Trung Quốc chưa bao giờ từ bỏ dã tâm xâm lược và đồng hóa dân tộc Việt Nam, mỗi khi có cơ hội và điều kiện thuận lợi. Nhưng hễ mỗi lần đem quân xâm lược Việt Nam, dù có binh hùng tướng mạnh, dù có mưu sâu kế hiểm, thì cuối cùng Trung Quốc vẫn thất bại thảm hại. Dân tộc Việt Nam đã đứng vững trước những cuộc xâm lăng tàn bạo của Trung Quốc, là nhờ ý chí bất khuất, nhờ biết đoàn kết trên dưới một lòng, nhờ những cá nhân kiệt xuất biết dựa vào dân và phát huy được sức mạnh của cả dân tộc để đánh đuổi kẻ thù chung. Cứ sau mỗi lần chiến thắng, dân tộc Việt Nam lại tạo đà củng cố nền độc lập tự chủ một cách vững chắc.
Từ thực tế lịch sử ấy, tác giả đặt vấn đề: Trong hoàn cảnh địa chính trị phải đối đầu lâu dài với chủ nghĩa bành trướng bá quyền Trung Quốc, liệu rằng Việt Nam có duy trì mãi được cái đà chiến thắng oanh liệt ấy không? Câu trả lời từ lịch sử là CÓ, nếu các nhà lãnh đạo Việt Nam biết phát huy các bài học lịch sử, thì chẳng những Việt Nam sẽ thắng, mà còn thắng trong những điều kiện vẻ vang nhất.
ABSTRACT
The paper generally analyzes Vietnamese resistance against China during four Chinese invasions of Vietnam in the years of 981, 1285-1288, 1407-1427 and 1788-1789. Historical facts prove that, since Vietnam became independent, China has never abandoned its wicked intentions to invade and assimilate the Vietnamese people whenever there were opportunities and favorable conditions, but each time China invaded Vietnam it was utterly defeated despite powerful army and talented commanders. The Vietnamese people always stood firm against China’s brutal invasions thanks to the indomitable will, wholehearted solidarity and preeminent leaders who relied on their people and promoted the strength of the whole nation to drive away the public enemy. Just after each victory, the Vietnamese people strengthened the independence firmly.
From those historical facts, the author calls into question whether Vietnam always maintains the momentum of its resounding victory or not in the geopolitical situation frequently confronting Chinese hegemony and expansionism. The answer drawn from history is YES if Vietnamese leaders know how to make use of history lessons, then Vietnam will surely win any war in the most glorious conditions.
