Enhancing the linkage between the Foreign Trade University and Industries with the Japanese model “Industry - University - Goverment"

Abstract

Linkage between universities and industries play an important role in improving the quality of high-quality human resource training as well as enhacing research and knowledge transfer to industries. Foreign Trade University is one of the universities in Viet Nam pioneering in building and developing linkage between universities and industries with many practical models.
The model “Industry - University - Government” is a popular model in research and practical implementation of linkages between universities and industries, in which the state plays an important role (central and local). On the basis of the “Industry - University - Government “ model approach, the author analyzes and evaluates the linkage between Foreign Trade University and Industries and offers solutions and recommendations to further strengthen the colloboration. The fact that the linkage between Foreign Trade University and Industries is a good lesson for many universities and industries in Viet Nam.
