Study on some pathological characteristics of goat infected with field goat pox virus in Tam Diep town, Ninh Binh province

Abstract

The objective of this study aimed at determining some characteristics of the infected goats with field GPVNB1 virus strain which was isolated in Tam Diep town, Ninh Binh province. The studied result showed that the main clinical symptoms of the infected goats were relatively clear, such as: on skin appeared the bumps with the size of 0.5 - 1cm, the surface of lymph nodes were swelled especially the nodes behind throat, lot of tear, nose mucus, slaver dischargedand mixed with pus. The gross lesions, such as: lung was bleeded, pulmonary surface appeared many white or red bumps, trachea contained lot of pink mucus mixing bubble, all of lymph nodes inside the body were swelled. Under microscope, the pox nodes accumulating many lymphocytes, plasma cells surrounding blood-vessel were observed.
