DETOXIFIED ABILITY FOR WASTE WATER CONTAMINATED WITH TNT BY USING CYPERUS ALTERNIFOLIUS LINN.

Abstract

This article introduces the result of using HPLC and GC-MS to investigate the neutralizedability for waste water contaminated with TNT by using Cyperus Alternifolius Linn. Practicalpractices show that TNT concentration reduces more significantly in the present of CyprusAlternifolius Linn. The result also demonstrates that TNT detoxified rate depends on the time ofprocess and plants' mass. The transformation of TNT in Cyperus Alternifolius Linn - TNTbiosystem is the same as Myriophyllum aquaticum-TNT biosystem which is determined informer research. Practical and analytical results show that Cyperus Alternifolius Linn can absorband convert TNT to. less toxic products with environment. Consequently, Cyperus AlternifoliusLinn can be used as a useful plant to neutralize waste water in military units.
