Assessing Efficiency of Agricultural Land Use Models for Commodity Production in Luong Tai District, Bac Ninh Province

Abstract

     Agricultural land use plays a vital role in producing agricultural products and agricultural commodity products. Recently, some models of agricultural land use in Luong Tai District have actually been set up to produce more commodity goods. The research objective was to assess the efficiency and commodity productive level of the agricultural production land use models in the district. The results show that there were three land use types (LUT) with 15 sub-LUTs. Some agricultural land use models were assessed with high level of efficiency and commodity production, such as vegetable crops, galangal (Alpinia officinarum) and carrots. Therefore, agricultural land use models for commodity production contribute significantly to agricultural development towards to increasing gross output and added value.
