INITIAL STUDY ON SPECIES COMPOSITION AND DISTRIBUTION OF SPIDER (ARACHNIDA) IN THE FOREST AREA OF THE TUAN GIAO TOWN, DIEN BIEN PROVINCE
Abstract
Initial study on the species composition and distribution of Spiders (Arachnida) from three types of habitats: forest area, caves and residential area of Tuan Giao town, Dien Bien province was carried out in 2020. Analysing 152 sampling, a total of 17 species belonging to 16 genera and 11 families were identified. Of the identified species, 16 are in the order Araneida and 1 in the order Opiliones. Among the 11 families recorded, the family Agelenidae has the most number of genera, with 3 genera account for 18.75%, included: Tegenaria domestica, Histopona torpida và Inermocoelote sp.; families Pholcidae, Salticidae and Ctenizidae all have 2 genera, accounting for 12.5%; and the remaining 7 families have 1 genus, accounting for 6.25%. Cave habitats (D1) and forest area habitats (D3) have the highest number of species, accounting for 35.29% of the total number of species. The residential area habitat (D2) has the least number of species, accounting for 29.41% of the total number of species.
