MATHEMATICAL SOLUTIONS TO THE COST ALLOCATION OF SOFTWARE RELIABILITY
Abstract
In this paper, two mathematical solutions to the cost allocation of software reliability are proposed, including application of binary integer programming to find the greatest reliability of the purchased modules, and use of nonlinear programming to find the greatest reliability of the module development in the company. This study finds the greatest possible reliability of the software without exceeding the given cost limit and the smallest cost so that the software reliability is a predetermined value.
