Abstract

Orchid flowers are favored in both spiritual and economic values, of which
Dendrobium lituiflorum Lindl. and Dendrobium Shavin White are beautiful and precious. This study presents the effects of LEDs (white, red, blue light) on growth of D. lituiflorum Lindl and D. Shavin White in vitro and ex vitro. The study results showed that after 60 days in in vitro culture, the red LED was the most suitable light for the growth of in vitro shoots, roots and leaves of these two orchid species. After 30 days in ex vitro, the highest survival rate of these two orchid species in the red light source on the dried fern roots was at 66,67% for D. lituiflorum Lindl. and 88,89% for D. Shavin White.
