Discussing the socialist-oriented market economy in Vietnam

Abstract

Vietnam has carried out economic reforms and realized a socialistorientedmarket economy for more than 30 years.Vietnam has been recognized by 69countries (except for US and EU) as a market economy country since 2018. Therefore, Vietnam continues to implement two paralleled tasks at a time: developing the socialistorientated market economy and perfecting institutions for being internationally recognized as the country with a full market economy. The paper presents the viewpoints on market economy, the socialist-oriented market economy and its current situation in Vietnam and some suggested recommendations for Vietnam.
