  • Nguyễn Thị Thúy

Abstract

The construction of the Tay Do citadel in the late of the 14th century in Vinh Loc caused great changes in the region. The capital citadel with its high walls, deep moat, royal halls and other constructions attaching to the Forbidden Palace gave Vinh Loc a new appearance, a new politico-economic center. The building the capital in an ancient land caused the emigration and the rise of new villages and market-towns on both sides of the Ma River. These transformations influenced to West-North regions of Thanh Hoa in the political, economic and social fields.
